Does anybody have issues with updating to Newsmag 5.4.3.4?
Tried a few times it keeps freezing.

First, please make sure you have a full backup for your website. After that, you have 2 options to avoid the problem with freezing when you try to update:
1 – Disable all extra plugins except tagDiv plugins and try to update the theme using the option from Newsmag > updates
2 – update the theme manually – https://i.imgur.com/JFarGFe.png
After updating the theme, make sure you also update the theme plugins.
I have always found using manual update via FTP works best – I am literally doing this right now 🙂
I did it manually and now I cant reach the site at all anymore. Error establishing a DB connection.
Did you, via FTP; after disabling caching plugin;
a) delete old theme
b) upload new, uncompressed theme folder, not the ‘all files’ folder
c) delete td-composer plugin
d) upload new td-composer plugin
e) login
f) re-enable td-composer plugin
??
This works for me on every site, running PHP 8.3x.
