I have updated the Newsmag just now but I am unable to save my homepage.

Do you mean you cannot create pages?
To make a home page you need to create a “page” then apply the layouts you want from the page builder.
Once you do that, you select the page name from the WP settings > reading > set static page
If that was not your issue, sorry.
Perhaps you can be much more specific, in order to get some help?
