Updating jQuery version from ver 1.12.4 to ver 3.3.1

Hi Dev,

I encounter an issue when updating the jQuery to the latest stable version 3.3.1 using the plugin “jQuery Updater”.

The pictures in the news/blog posting all doesn’t display on first loading of the page. I have to refresh the web page one more time before it shows up.

How do I resolve this issue? Reason for updating the jQuery is I need a function in one of the newer version.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
rontsh

Hello rontsh,

Notice that we do not have any bad reports in this case until now, sorry! Everything seems to works as expected, without any problems. Ensure that your theme version is the latest one, installed via FTP way, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this and check the results. If the problem is still there, please provide some useful screenshots so I can identify the problem.

Thanks for the message!

Thanks for your response Catalin. I’m doing it on localhost now as it’s still in development phase. I’ve the latest theme for newspaper activated which is 8.7.

This problem is very obvious whenever I activate the jQuery Updater plugin the problem occurs. When I deactivate it, the images are showing as per normal again.

Image 1: Problem when jQuery Updater plugin is active.
Images dissapears
Image 2: Problem dissapears when jQuery Updater plugin is deactivated.
Images ok
Image 3: Plugin list, only 5 active plugins.

Is there any other way to update the jQuery to the newer version?

Thanks.
