Upgrade from Version 3.3 to Current (4.6.1)

Hello,

I am currently running Newspaper Version 3.3. Upgrading to version 4.6.1 seems to be a major leap. Should I do incremental upgrades to make the process go smoother? Can I even get older versions other than what is current?

Any recommendations you have will be greatly appreciated…thanks!

Hi,

First please make a backup to your current theme installation if you update so in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it. Major change was in version 3.7: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-v-3-7/
If you want to update please follow our guide and use ftp method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ also please update plugins that come with the theme’s files-you can find them in /plugins folder.

Also if you don’t want to update to the latest version and need another version of Newspaper please send your request at contact@tagdiv.com and also include a link to this topic.
