I just updated the theme. I did not found any documentation for this update.
So i did backup of active theme. Then renamed old theme to Newspaper-v78, and uploaded new theme files. Everything works fine.
The only issues is Visual Composer and TagDic composer. How to use them. Can i remove visual composer and use TD composer or how it should be done.
I’d be keen to know this too!
Preferred upgrade method and moving from VC to the TagDiv composer – simple?
Yes everything was working fine. I only had to go and change header.php to ad advertising scripts and some other manual stuff for the theme files.
But all my settings were fine.

Weird, your server is not responding maybe. Website is not loading.
www.f1news.lt’s server DNS address could not be found.

Hello,
The documentation is up now. It takes a bit of time to update everything.
Here is the guide on the new builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
All of the theme documentation was updated now for the new version
Thank you!
I have really to say one thing: thank you tagdiv for the great update to v8.0.
Everything works great and no problems after i updated from v7. The tagdiv composer is great and adopted nearly all old vc settings. Just to edit some little things. And now the theme runs faster and lighter then with the vc.
Thank you for the great support.
Yes, it works like a charm. But i just used VC only with blog style and the featured post grid block

When i disabled WPBakery plugin i got some elements not working: https://gyazo.com/5ea5e493b13873a19ac2d9a8aaa12b6c
Tabs are gone, and Call To Action block does not work anymore
They introduced their own composer, in the past it was WPBakery Visual Composer, now they added TD Composer.
I did clean theme update too, but now if i disable WPBakery plugin, some blocks doesnt work. I checked TD Composer, and indeed i didnt found Tabs block in the new page builder, thats why it is crashing.
Other than that is working ok for me
Hello,
Yes you can now delete visual composer but keep in mind that some elements will have to be recreated using the tagdiv composer. We recommend when making the change from one builder to another to recreate the entire page using the tagdiv composer only.
Do not edit a page with the new builder if it was created using visual composer. The page will have to be recreated in the new builder luckily, the process is much simpler now as you can see the changes live.
The move from one builder to another will be a bit of a hassle at first but we suggest moving over to the new builder as in the future the theme will rely on our own builder and not visual composer. Future options and features will only be available in the tagdiv composer.
Our builder is also much lighter than VC 🙂
Thank you!
Thanks for the quick response Bogdan. Some follow up questions.
1. If I want to recreate the home page which is done in Visual Composer (VC), how do I create this from scratch…or do you mean to delete the VC boxes and replace with TagDiv boxes?
2. Typically, I have to update both the homepage right side bar and then go into widgets within wordpress to update the right side bar. Is there a way to update the right sidebar and have it go to both homepage and interior pages, or is it best to keep them separate?
I just upgraded and it’s screwing up my site! Why is my post wider now that I upgraded? My sidebar is on top of it! help! Also my photo sizes are wrong in some cases.
Here’s an example of the screwed up post page width: https://www.travisneighborward.com/decorating/small-bathroom-decorating-ideas-designers/
My homepage photo of me (on the right), plus the book below it are getting cut off:
Hi again. I just deactivated the Tagdiv Composer plugin and the Tagdiv social counter plugin. Now my post pages and my photos look back to normal. Could you please point me to some information about choosing between the Tagdiv Composer vs. Virtual Composer? I’ve designed the entire site with VC. What is required to transition to Tagdiv Composer for an existing site? And does it make sense to switch over at this point? Is it going to require tons of reformatting of existing pages? thanks.
