Hi,
The newspaper theme is not displaying the photos at the set size (full, medium, thumbnail, custom size). None of these settings are changing the way the photos are displayed. The photos are displayed at full width and cropped height.
The theme is up to date, the cache is deleted and purged.
Please help me to fix this issue ASAP!
Thank you!
Francesco

Did you try to regenerate thumbnails? You may try it with this plug-in: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
All the thumbnails are regenerated. The fact is that all my website is a mess now. Hundreds of photos are all cut. The “On click action” is “open pretty photo”, but what is doing is sending me at the top of the page.
In blocks and modules, images are cropped to fit the grid sizes, obviously… you cant fit square in rectangle. With featured image, the size inserted into a post template will fit the template size used, not the sizes you type into wordpress settings. If you insert images into posts or pages manually you can choose one of the preset sizes made by wordpress if different from size you actually uploaded. At least thats how it works on my sites.

Maybe You can take an Lok to the “Include” Folder and than in the “td_config.php”.
On any Updates I must change some things. If You find differenzed sizes You sould corrected it and than You can used an Plugin like “Image resize” or so on.
Greetings
Problem solved! I just uninstalled the tagDiv Composer, and the website is the same as before the update. Thanks a lot jkellerer for this advice!
Thanks, Chris S! My issues were with the “Single Image” and not with the blocks. No matter what preset size I choose(thumbnail, …full) the image was displayed the same way: cropped.
Thanks, Achimzwo! I will keep that in mind! I’m looking forward to seeing updates that don’t mess up the website, making us loose a lot of money on the short and long term!
Best!
Hello,
If you created a page with Visual composer and used a single image element (which is a visual composer specific element), trying to insert it into the tagdiv composer will not work properly. Please do not try to edit a page created with visual composer using the new page builder. If you want to move over to the tagdiuv composer, you will have to re-create the pages using the new builder like this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thank you!
Hello Bogdan,
I don’t use tagDiv composer, I work only with Visual Composer.
I found myself with tagDiv composer activated, after the last update.
The automatic activation of the tagDiv composer led to the cropping of all the images on the website.
I appreciate all your support and the hard work you are doing to give us an awesome theme, but please prevent that theme updates create malfunctions and issues to the websites already created.
Thank you!
Hey Chris!
Honestly I never tried TD Composer. I use only Visual Composer and it works perfectly for me.
Thanks!
Hello,
The new theme plugins install automatically when the theme is activated. It is an intentional feature, not a malfunction.
The general plan is to have people use our own page builder instead of visual composer as we will no longer develop anything for visual composer. We have our own much lighter page builder now and all of the new features we add in future version of the theme will be available exclusively for the tagDiv composer. Visual composer will not receive anymore features.
Thank you!
Hello Bogdan,
I understand that you are pushing us to use the new, richer, better page builder, but that means that I have to rebuild all my website just to have the same aspect?
That can work for a new website, but not for an existing one.
We have spent months into building it. Please make the transition seamless.
Thank you!
I would also like to add my point. I would love to use your new tagdiv composer, the only issue I have is that when enabled alongside the VC one, all my pages images get skewed. Would be nice to be able to enable it only 1 page at a time, so I can slowly transition my pages over to the new and better plugin.
I want to use your plugin, but currently it seems its an all or nothing solution.
Hello jkellerer,
Please notice that you should not use the both page builder simultaneously. If you are using the VC you should still use the VC and if you want to switch your page builder to TD Composer, you should only use our page builder to avoid conflicts between these. Notice that you cannot edit the page which was made with VC with TD Composer and vice versa.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
Jkellerer
I suggest you to put your pics in the image gallery. It seems like, this way, the td composer has no effect on them. 🙂
All it’s cool, TD composer (TDC) is great.
It is a pity that you did not care that as someone who already has a built-in website VC it must now build it again in TDC.
If VC=ON and TDC=OFF –> My old site is spilled
If VC=ON and TDC=ON –> Single image module is full height
If VC=OFF and TDC=ON –> all its great on my old site
