I have an older version of Newspaper & visual composer. I didn’t update to the latest composer because it said they were deprecated. I have many relevant pages with these tabs. So I just checked on these pages and the tabs aren’t working. A few days ago I hit “update Visual Composer” just ’cause I figured it’d be ok, but it didn’t update, needed activation key, etc. So I dont know if that triggered it. My question is, if I update both Newspaper and VC to the latest update, will that fix this problem or will the tabs remain “deprecated” or dysfunctional.

If you want that your Tabs to work you should simply disable the TD Composer because it creates a conflict with Visual Composer which break the Tabs functionality.
