Is it possible to enter a URL for the featured image similar to how it is done for the Featured Video? Clicking through the Media Library is a real bottleneck.

Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option for it, sorry! So, if you want to load the featured image from the external link, you should try implementing this feature in our theme because this does not exist on code, sorry! Notice that this is not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you!

For anyone else researching this, I found some plugins available from Plugins / Add New.
First I tried: Featured Image From URL. It was workable, but a bit kludgy.
Next I tried: WP Autoset Featured Image Plus. I like this one better and am sticking with it. To see how it works, just load it for free.

None of them are tested with the theme and therefore if you will have some problems with the theme we cannot provide support for this because these untested plugins can affect the theme functionality sorry!
