URL Structure

Hi,

My website shows URL in this format https://firstnews.pk/article/3037 (what is 3037?)
Now surprisingly this is not what we added to the slug area. We only mentioned 3 there and the URL showed here 3037. How?

The sequence that we want on our website is the website name, articles, current year, number of articles.
See the sample below:

https://firstnews.pk/article/202101
https://firstnews.pk/article/202102
https://firstnews.pk/article/202103

This way a user will not only remember the articles we published in a particular year but we will also stay organized. Please let us know how to do this? We tried a lot to fix it through permalinks but failed multiple times. Please help us in this regard. We shall be very grateful to you for this kindness.

We are using simple WordPress, Settings – Permalinks

And the setting we use is Custom.
This is the route https://firstnews.pk/article/%post_id%

Please advise what to do.
