use a narrower element 'Hero'

I’d like to use a narrower element ‘Hero’. But then there is a blank space between the menu and the image. How do I remove it?

I’m sorry, that’s not exactly true.
I tried to move the slider up and down to somehow improve the overall appearance. But the empty space remains. Now I left this empty space on top.
