Hey, is there a way that I can use a “video format” post, paste a YouTube link on the “Featured Video” field, but upload a “Featured Image” to be used on the blocks, instead of the automatic video thumbnail created by Newspaper?
I like the Featured Video tool and the “video format” post, but sometimes I wanna use a thumbnail made by me instead of the thumbnail that is on YouTube.

To be clear, I don´t want a “Featured Image” on top of my post, I want the video, so the “video format” and “featured video”. But I wanna upload a thumbnail to show on all the blocks outside the post.
I just found out that if I use the “video format” post, paste the video link directly inside the post right on top, leave the “Featured Video” empty and upload a custom thumbnail to be the Featured Image, I get what I want.
Is that the only way?
Hi felipefel, indeed this is the only solution to set a custom featured image for featured vide. Normal the theme is creating an image thumb from vide.
