USE GOOGLE FONTS ON MOBILE

Hi,

I have an issue reg. google fonts on mobile. When I disable this option (google f. option) in control panel for Newsmagazine, I can still see this same font on mobile (of course after purging cache and cleraing google history on mobile) as per desktop, furthermore the google fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) are still visible and slowing page (as per google page speed snippet).
The only chance, as I see, to eliminate google fonts is to disable them for desktop and mobile. Is it right? I would really appreciate to have right font on desktop and custom (newsmag) on mobile to optimize the page speed for mobile.

My page rehef.pl

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Jaro

Hello Jaro!

You can deactivate the Google Fonts only from the theme panel and this is a global setting on whole website. Please check our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/

Thank you!

Thank you Bettina,

Yes, I know the documentation:
1. Establish if you want to enable/disable the Google Fonts for the whole website. If you disable this option, the website will load the fonts founded in the system.
2. Enable/disable the usage of the Google fonts on mobile devices -from here you can decide to not show the Google fonts on your mobile website version.

However, my problem is – I want to have google font of my choice on desktop and general font family (as per the newspaper) on mobile. And the question is – does it work when enabling google fonts in USE GOOGLE FONTS and disable USE GOOGLE FONTS ON MOBILE.
When I do that the situation is as per my previous explanation. Unless I misunderstand it.

Hello Jaro!

If you use the responsive version, then it should work well. But, if you use mobile pages or the Mobile Theme plugin, then this option won’t work. Please try on your mobile phone. Also, deactivate the cache plugin and try again in an incognito tab.
From what I can see, you have different font on your mobile version than desktop version.

Thank you!
