Using different template for specific product in woocommerce

Hi,

We are trying to use various Gift Card plugins but none seem to be compatible with the default product template.

https://femmefatale.ecode.gr/product/femme-fatale-gift-card/

Here the tagdiv template seems unable to host the variations created by this plugin: https://www.pimwick.com/gift-cards/
(the same issue appears in the this plugin: https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-gift-cards/ )

Instead of having variations in drop down, displaying different options etc. it just creates a product with a price as a range, leading to error.

Since the tagdiv eshop functionality is a rather new feature it may take a lot of time to ensure compatibility with plugins that cover foundamental functionalities for many eshops (such as gift cards). In the meantime is it please possible to allow us to use custom product templates for cases like this one? The same way that in categories we are able to customise the template, to somehow, be able to do this for the product.

Hello @dimitrisv!

Unfortunately, there is no option in our theme to add gift cards.

We will take in consideration your query and I will add this feature on our improvement list.

Thank you for understanding!

I just realised that we can indeed set a different template per product! So the issue was sorted by allowing a template for a specific product to use the default woo product shortcode

Where exactly can you set a different template per product? Thanks.

In the product page. Go to the editor (gutenberg) and choose the template.

Sorry for the confusion, but:

1. the “product page” is not a page, it’s a woocommerce “product” (post) where one “adds” a product with all relative info. It doesn’t have a Gutenberg interface.

2. if I create a “normal” page using tagDiv, I don’t have the possibility of using the Woo shortcodes to add a single product and its relative info in the page.

In any case, the “normal” page doesn’t allow me to choose a cloud template, I only have the following options:

Default template
Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination
Pagebuilder + page title
Pagebuilder + Overlay menu

.. and no other options.

What am I missing?

I FIGURED IT OUT!

1. you have to “View” the Product page.

2. on the top bar, on the right side, the current template is selected (tooltip = “Current Standard Template”, to the right of the button titled “Edit with TagDiv Composer”). Just click on it and select another template!
