Using Pattern Overlay On Featured Images For Parrallax Posts

I love the featured image on the parrallax view for the Newspaper theme. A lot of times though the image will look stretched if the quality isn’t the best. Is there a way to attach a dark pattern overlay on images automatically, similar to this site. http://www.dancingastronaut.com/2015/01/skrillex-x-games/?

Hi,

I believe it is possible but unfortunately you would need custom work or a plugin for it as thee theme doesn’t have an option or a feature that could help you achieve that.
I suggest you try to find a plugin for it.
