Using raw js issue

Hi TagDiv experts,

Something weird started happening today with the raw js blocks. I am adding adsense ad code and it has been fine. Then today I added another one, looks fine, save the block but when I hit update on the page, the code changes to all these Chinese characters.
Anyone have an idea of what’s going on?

Using Newspaper 6 on wordpress 4.3.1

Here is a screenshot of what is happening….top raw js is fine but when I added another one later in the day, saved, the wierd charactors show up and of course the GA ad won’t show>

When copy-pasting anything into Visual composer; try not to copy/paste from a web browser page or MS Word or similar.

Save to a plain text file then copy/paste into visual composer from that.

Stupid I know, but I do this to ensure no “formatting” embedded in other application gets included by browser when pasting into the widgets.

Might not help, but it was one way I got around that kind of weirdness; assuming you were not hacked or something, of course.

did that too and same result. Does this theme minify JS?

Oh and I should mention that the ad is showing even with the weird code.
