I am using the latest Newspaper Theme.
My concern is that wordpress and newspaper theme is generating various image sizes for the pictures that i upload to through media file. Is this something really required and of any use. The concern in that the hosting space gets filled up quickly and also it take a very long time when we take site backup.

Please notice that this is the theme’s behaviour regarding on images. The theme uses a lot of modules to display the post articles and for each one, it is necessary another size of the image.
