vc rows don't work anymore

Hi, I’ve updated my site from Newspaper 7 to 8;
The visual composer row element (with 4 columns or 2 columns) don’t work anymore in all my pages ? Is this a know issue with the update ? What should I do ?

Hello Phil,

Please notice that layouts (1/4+1/4+1/4+1/4 and 1/2+1/2) are not recommended to be used in our theme because were not been tested. Also, in the latest theme version, the main page builder is tag div composer which do not allow to be used these layouts and all of these will do not be recognized. In the future, our recommendation is to use only our page builder because all of next future update and improvements will contain this.

Catalin, it sounds like you’re no longer going to support VC with the Newspaper theme. Is that right? Or could I go on using version 8, which I just installed, with VC if I want? No offense, I’m sure the Tagdiv Composer is great, but at this moment I’d rather stick with what I know. Then I could take time later to learn TC and reformat things.

Hi,

Yes that would be the general direction, in future updates new features will be available for the new page editor. Please note that the tagDiv composer is not hard to use, not to mention that it is a front-end editor. You can see the changes made and the page taking shape as you create it.
