We have been having problems with our website, since we went from Newsmag 1.1 to 3.3 in one go (Let’s not even go there), but the thing we couldn’t fix is the view count of articles which stays 0 all the time on articles we have written after the update. When you click on all posts you should see tags, comments, date, views, analytics, SEO per article sorted etc. Views stays 0, even though an article has been very popular.
Is this a known bug when you make a leap forward to 3.3? How to fix this problem?

Please keep in mind that our theme has been changed nothing regarding on post view count and this issue I guess that happens due to your plugins. Most likely, in the past, you have used a plugin which brings these post view counts that’s why it is possible to appear this issue. However, please notice that our theme does not change the post view count because the field is the same.

Hi Catalin,
After turning on “enable reports on pages…” in the google analytics backend in WP-admin after midnight, the post views were visible but not accurate. Can’t figure out why it’s not counting accurately. Up until now today we’ve had 9.800 pageviews on articles, while the cumulative of articles which shows in the post view count is like 1.800. It’s almost like it’s registering and showing only a fraction of visitors.. The latest article we published like 50 minutes ago, is visited constantly by between 30 and 60 people at any given time, but the total view count of the article shows 122. Very odd…

It seems to be odd but please notice that behavior is not theme related. Also, try to disable all the plugins which are not tested with our theme, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and check the results. Probably, an untested plugin interacts with your database and check these values and that’s why now does not display correctly.
