Hi,
Does the workaround to fix the post views when using a cache plugin work with the 7 days post sort in the sidebar? I know this fix will show correct views on the top of a post page, but will it also fix the 7 days post sort order in the blocks?
And are you guys planning on integrating the ajax view count in the theme? I don’t like to install so many different plugins to fix the bugs that come with this theme… I mentioned this problem months ago and you guys said that you would fix in in one of the future updates. We’re at least 4 updates further, but the only solution you provide is using another couple of plugins to make it work, instead of fixing it wihtin in theme.
Also, I use block 2 in the sidebar to highlight some post (just like the theme’s live preview) and want to manually select the posts i want to display there. It it possible to filter the post according to post id? I was highlighting the most viewed posts with the 7 days post count but since that doesnt work i now show the most recent posts there…
Radu, i’ve installed both plugins and have them couting views for a week nog. But it still doesn’t work. The 7 days post count still doesnt work with these plugins. The post meta on some old posts that maybe have been viewed 10 times the last week show a 7 days post count of 1200 in the meta. This is impossible. Please provide some support!
This is a post i published yesterday. The 7 days post count still shows the wrong amount of views. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/DH2iEZs.png

Hi,
i’ve got same problem. Counter of views works fine with the plugins you advise but it doesn’t work with 7 days counter.
I’ve updated to the last version of newspaper which indicate that it fix it but it not works.
How can we do ? It’s very damage because your theme is very good and lot of websites uses the most views post to increase the reader to read more posts…
I don’t understand why it doesn’t work because lot of plugins can do that with cache plugin enable…
Hi Radu,
Yes the counter works without cache plugin enabled. But I hoped it will work with this update…
Hi Radu,
What do you mean ? I’ve updated to the 3.7 but it doesn’t work with cache enabled only when cache is deseabled. But i need cache plugin to make my website faster.
You mean i have to update to 3.8 ?
Hi,
Thanks, i’m using popular post by the number of comments instead, i don’t want to search and install another plugins.
