Hello
can somebody shed some light on how the post views counter works (are those views stored in the database for every post) and where in the code the script for that is?

Hi,
The post view will count very entry and refresh from the post and it will store it in database, also you can manually change this values from custom fields-> https://i.imgur.com/dm3gv1L.png if you are using some cache plugins, please check this article ->m https://forum.tagdiv.com/ajax-view-count/
