Vimeo Featured Video width

Hello, I have a problem using vimeo video as a featured video.

– When using template style 8 some left and right positions are added to a player inline

ex. <div class=”vp-player-layout js-playerLayout” style=”left: 151px; right: 151px; top: 0px; bottom: 0px;”>

– When using a default post template

ex. <div class=”vp-player-layout js-playerLayout” style=”left: 95px; right: 95px; top: 0px; bottom: 0px;”>

Some script is adding these styles and I am unable to override this css.

Also, I noticed that this does not accure when the video is in higher quality … form 720p and up there are no these inline styles added.

How can I fix this, so the video is always full width of its container?

Thanks, Alen

Hello

I have made some tests with Vimeo videos for Featured Video and these differences happen due to shooting as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FvByWAhceWGF The first video is filmed in portrait mode and the second one is filmed in landscape mode and that’s why the last one appears in full width.

Thanks.

Ok … I see your point … but the same videos are on the other site and covering 100% of its container.

On that site those inline position styles don’t exist (screen). The site does not have any additional css. its just a classic vimeo iframe.

Is it posible to add right and left position to 0 !important when a video is in portrait mode? or all together to prevent those inline postion styles? I guess that this added by some script …

Can I achieve this on the screen-shot? If not to remove those position at least to give a #player a background of #111 ?

Sreen of the styles I wont to achieve

Hello Abarac,

Unfortunately, please notice that our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to change this featured video style. As you can see, that functionality of this element (featured video) comes automatically with an iframe and it’s not an easy task to change that, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!
