Visual Composer 4.12

Hello,

I accidentally deleted Visual Composer 4.12 from 3 of my Newsmag sites. How do I restore it? I cannot find it in the PLUGINS > ADD NEW search tool in the Admin panel.

I uploaded the relevant folder to the affected sites manually from backup copies and fixed it.

4.12 is old though, you should uninstall it from the plugins menu and re-download newsmag.
You’ll get 5.1.1!
When you extract the zip you’ll see inside the “plugins” folder a file named js_composer.zip
Then go to wordpress dashaboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.
Choose js_composer.zip upload it and activate it. Voila Visual composer latest version!

This is the only plugin that does NOT want to update via the admin panel. The folks at tagDiv should address the issue ASAP.

Hi,

The Visual composer plugin can be updated using this guide

This is not a difficult process and it is the only way of updating the editor at the moment. Updates for Visual composer and all the bundled plugins are provided along the theme updates, in the theme package you download. You cannot update the plugin directly from the plugin author.
