Visual Composer

Hello,

since I’ve updated to the most recent version 4.0 on my sites http://www.gatesieben.de and http://www.artofcreativephotography.com, I’ve experienced some serious problems with the visual composer. When building a page, the dropdown menus (headings, formats, text colour, background colour, etc.) in the different elements (text, etc.) don’t work anymore. On the other hand, the tagDIV composer doesn’t work either.

Hi,

If you use Visual composer for building your pages, try deactivating the tagDiv composer. In some cases when both editors are active there could be some issues with the page elements.
Also do not edit pages built in one of the editors, with the other one.

Hey Simion,

thanks a lot for your reply. I’ll try that. On the other hand I guess that means that I have to disable the VisualComposer if I want to use the tagDiv composer, right?

Hi,

There are items that are affected when both editors are active. Each editor has it’s own functionality for some elements, and this could create problems on the front-end. If you used Visual composer to build your website, deactivate the tagDiv composer for the moment.
The transition to the tagDiv composer is meant to be as easy as possible, and they do share some similarities to make this happen.
Please note that the new page editor may not have at the moment elements that are available or specific to Visual composer. More will be added in future updates however.
