I decided today to upgrade WordPress from 4.4.2 to 4.5.1. However after upgrading WordPress, Visual Composer no longer displays correctly. I tried to update both VC and Newspaper to 4.11.2 and 6.7.1 but installing the updates did not fix the issue.
Here is what I am expecting to see: https://gyazo.com/eb3a910ece2e9d2c89f14ac3150b5d77
Instead I just see this: https://gyazo.com/201c68e082126648fb50eec00e3eb041
If I roll back WordPress to 4.4.2, VC works again. The only thing I can think of is that I should have installed the theme and VC updates before updating WordPress. But the fact that installing the new theme and VC version after updating to WordPress 4.5 still leaves VC broken has me stumped.
For the record, I also tried deactivating all plugins and reinstalling the theme and VC plugin.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello sunkast,
As I can notice from your screenshots, you are using the Visual Composer for POSTS that is not recommended with our theme because the plugin was not been designed to be used for posts, but only for pages. Please set your VC only for pages from panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/g2kExmjgNGN
Hope this helps!
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about the problem so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you for your understanding!
VC doesn’t work correctly for pages either. Even after setting VC to pages only.

Hello sunkast,
Our tested version of Visual Composer is 4.11.2. -> http://screencast.com/t/YnCQHPA9s and with this plugin’s version the theme work as properly. Please ensure that your issue does not come from your untested plugins. I recommend you to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After this changes, if you problem is still there, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so I can further inspect your setup page. Also, please provide the link of this topic so we can know who you are and what the issue is.
Thank you for the message!
