Visual composer font family , more options?

Please provide more information about how exactly you are creating your posts with Visual composer. I have tried this as you are doing it – https://www.screencast.com/t/MEF5LRD1Hp8 and I was able to modify the font for the article content from the text block, in theme panel where there are a multitude of fonts available for each setting

Please try changing the font properties for the post page through the theme panel, because it should work as intended. If the modifications do not apply after being made, try clearing any caching installed. If you still have no result, please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache again then check to see if everything is in order.

Well everything seems to be working properly on my end with the settings mentioned above. In your case I see that the setting from theme panel is being overwritten by another – https://www.screencast.com/t/4vdecv6fR
Try updating the Visual composer plugin to the latest version provided in the theme package and then make the change to a different font for the post content in theme panel, not the same one and check if it applies.
