Visual Composer mandatory?

Greetings,
I deactivated the Visual Composer plugin, but then turns out that VC tags are still in source code of the page.
I tried to clean it, but it ended up with complete mess on my home page.
Do I need to keep the VC plugin On to make this whole thing work?

Hello BazooQa,

Notice that Visual Composer is not a required plugin. All the VC shortcodes are recognized by TD Composer. Please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
