Visual Composer problem

I have a client who can’t add text through the Backend Editor. She has no formatting tools either in the editor window. Just visual and text tabs.

Have updated to the most recent version of both WP and Theme. Obviously VC has been updated to v4.5.1 but current one supplied with theme is 4.4.4.

Be good to know why this is happening or if anyone else has had similar issues.

Hi,

When we updated Newspaper theme the latest version of Visual Composer was 4.4.4. We always test the new version of the plugin with our theme and then we include it in theme files when a new version of the theme is released.
Do you mean that when you switch to Classic mode, you cannot add text there? – http://screencast.com/t/1bHbegjlVbix
When the Backend editor is active you can add blocks using Visual Composer and you can add text using text block – http://screencast.com/t/okb9RUW8VV
Please provide more details about your issue if this doesn’t solve it.

Please also try this without any plugins active, leave just Visual Composer active, empty cache and check if you still have this issue. Let me know!

This is what she see’s when trying to add text in the text block editor, in the backend editor. Not sure if she has issues with Classic Mode but will check.

I actually have a copy of the visual composer for myself for other projects. Can I use my updated copy or will that knock out your customisations?

Just trying to think how we can resolve this quickly as she can’t update or add posts right now using VC
