I prefer to work with pages. And I use the Visual Composer plugin. But everything I do only works for posts. In the VC settings are pages and post selected.
But the result is completely different.

Am I doing something wrong or are only posts prepared for use with Visual Composer?

I’ve never used Visual Composer for posts; but it’s specifically designed for pages. Normally you would create new page, then use the visual composer to build your “columns” and elements that go into each column.
I don’t think you can just drop a bunch of shortcodes into a page for it to work properly, unless I’m mistaken.

Please provide more details about your issue on page as I don’t understand which the issue is. I think that it is normal to be some differences between post and page view if you are using Visual Composer on both.
