the visual composer is very heavy on my site and the admin panel – when editing pages – is very slow and sometimes doesn’t work well (for example I can’t save anymore my home page because wordpress with visual composer enabled seems to freeze the update function – I click on the button but nothing happens)
there’s a way to optimize it or to find an alternative more light?

Hi Paolo,
Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no tested alternative for Visual Composer and the newsmag theme, sorry. The Visual Composer plguin was tested and is tested regularly with the theme and, despite it’s large we have not noticed any similar behaviour to what you have described. The freeze you mention could be happen while using other plugins and might have an impact on this situation. Try without plugins and see how to goes.

Please notice that our theme is built on Visual Composer which is the main page builder. If you do not want to use the Visual Composer, you should try using our tagDiv composer as page builder to create your amazing pages -> https://www.wpion.com/members/tagdiv-composer-overview/ At the moment, this plugin is used for our free product which is ionMag. If you like it, you should simply download the free theme and in the packet, you will find the td-composer.zip plugin which you can use it on Newspaper theme. Should work as expected.

I’ve enabled the tagDiv Composer plugin
But by the following error, when I want to edit a page:
“Errors occurred during tdcIframeData.init () -> bindViewsModelsWrappers ()”

You cannot edit an existing page created with Visual Composer, such as home page. You need to make *new* page solely with TagDiv Composer.
Also remember to disable VC, clear all caching, resave permalinks, clear transients with WP-Optimize.

You seem to have problems with your site as you have mentioned the blank white page in another topic. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
