visual quirk with a sidebar ad

Hello,

I’ve inserted a code for a banner with an affiliate link in the sidebar ad. The code basically has a 300×250 banner with an affiliate link and a 1×1 tracking pixel to track banner impressions.

My problem is that the tracking 1×1 pixel gets displayed as a grey 300×250 area under the actual 300×250 banner. Is there a way for the theme to not make the tracking pixel so huge?
