Website response time and warnings from WPMU performance plugin

Hello. Hope you are doing well.

On okobserver.org, Error is: Your page is not using font-display rule when loading the following web fonts.
Font URL
https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/KFOmCnqEu92Fr1Mu4mxKKTU1Kg.woff2
https://fonts.gstatic.com/s/roboto/v18/KFOlCnqEu92Fr1MmEU9fBBc4AMP6lQ.woff2

Suggestion is to use plugin ‘Swap Google Fonts Display’ to ensure text remains visible during webfont load.

Is this something TagDiv would recommend or is there another option to use with the Newspaper theme?

Additionally, we’re told the following needs improvement in order to reduce our extremely slow response time:

Status
Your DOM has 1,171 elements in total.

Total DOM Nodes 1171
Maximum DOM Depth 24
Maximum Child Elements 43
How to fix
The score depends solely on the total number of nodes found on the page. The median is 1400 nodes; however, for a perfect score, your DOM’s total nodes should be lower than 275. Try the following to improve your score:

Most of the time, your theme is responsible for adding redundant DOM nodes to your site. Activate the default TwentyNinteen theme, and compare the performance score. If the score improves, that means your current theme is the culprit, and you should either use another efficiently coded theme or work with the developer to see what changes can be made.

Is this addressable?

Thanks so much!
Bob

Hi Bettina.

The plugin did not work. I’ll just leave it to TagDiv development for another time.

Thanks so much!

Hello @rickyrt !

Our developers tried to improve it more and more, optimize it as much as they could in every update, and also bring in new features.
Make sure you use the right font, also check if you do not use some global font in the TagDiv Composer. Documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/

Thank you!
