Hey guys.

– And TagDev team.

We launched our new site this Sunday. Slightly different example of what can be done using Newspaper theme. 150.000 monthly users and it’s probably higher traffic than most other Newspaper-based websites.

Still a lot of optimizing to be done (performance-wise) but here it is:

I really, really like your site.
I’m also working on a bigger project right now.

Great use of gravatar caching, great overall optimization. What would really interest me (as usual), would you be so kind and list all plugins you used?

Edward: Site is using modified versions of bbpress and buddypress (otherwise db would overload due to queries without indexes – yeah shitty code from the developers). Forum has +4 million posts / comments.

General database contains 16 years of news / articles.

Most plugins are custom made (showing default avatars, lists, comment-numbering etc.).

Also using “Hide my WP” and WP-Rocket (cache). The latter will be swapped for a custom fragment caching solution soon.

Back-end is FreeBSD 10.3 (4 VM servers), Apache 2.4, MariaDB 10.1

Oh – forgot to mention. PHP 7.0.6. Still haven’t found anything incompatible with Newspaper 7.

We’re doing over 10 million pageviews a month and Newspaper is running like a champ.

Our setup: 1 VPS webserver (12 core/16 GB ram), 1 VPS Db server (4 core/4 GB ram), 1 VPS Varnish server (2 core/2 GB ram).

Any instructions on best settings for Wp Rocket Cache. It breaks lots of JS in my site.
