What happens if I have already Visual Composer installed separately?

I would like to know if I have to deactivate my VC before installing the theme or simply installing Newsmag without deactivating VC.

I had to fully un-install my licensed version; then use the one included with the theme since it’s tested compatible and I think has some custom modules and whatnot.

I “think” some of the custom stuff is tied to the bundled version, license wise.

However, I could be completely wrong on that — but I know my version this past Spring did *not* work with Newspaper, so I’m going to say likely the same with Newsmag.
