Hello,
I’m trying to optimize my mobile theme since it’s scoring poorly on PageInsights. I have opportunities to eliminate render blocking resources, removed unused JS, and unused CSS. When looking at the files that it’s telling me to fix, they all seem to be ‘Minify’ something or another. Does anyone know what this is and is it important?

Are the files they’re saying are slowing things down. If the file is needed, is it okay to have those load in the footer or should I keep them how they are when first installing the theme?

If you use a caching plugin like WP Rocket, it can minify. ANother great site is Unused-CSS (dot) com as it will run a full analysis of your site and take out all the code you’re not using so you just download their CSS file and replace the one you have with that one. That will easily get your Unused CSS score way down.
JS is much harder as many plugin use that.

Our tool is running only on normal pages and not for posts or categories for example.

I’ve tried to run the tagDiv tool a few times but it seems to get stuck and never goes past step 6.

In most cases when tagDiv Css Analyzer has stopped it when is use Cloudflare and the Rocket Loader is active (in our guide it is mentioned the Rocket Loader must be disabled).

Rocket loader is off (and has been off) when the CSS Analyzer gets stuck. Any other idea as to why it might not be getting past step 6?

Got the same problem, it runs the process but is not able to save any Css.

Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If this problem is not solved after that, then we need to take a look and see what happened there.
