I’ve set background image for my website geeklife.pl, and it looks ok. Problem is when I try to set different background for my categories. Images in FullHD Resolution look awful. They’re pixeleted. BTW I set ‘stretch’ option.
Why backgrounds in categories look bad if global background fits great?

Hi
There is no ideal size, but for best graphic results you could use a full hd image (1920x1080px), make sure you compress it, you don’t want a large file, it will slow page loading speed. Also make sure you upload the full size image, not a thumb: http://screencast.com/t/JbU8WOOf6
