What's the best way to add an "Archive" page?

Can you please provide some information on how to create an effective archive page? What’s the best template to use?

The archive page is a normal page? In other theme usually there is a dedicated “archive template” but here I suppose we have to deal with composer.
It’s not a problem, but I prefer to ask and be sure to do things the right way.

Yes I mean exactly that page. Maybe I’m a little confused.
Normally i build up a page and set it as “archive template”

Now I don’t see a template, so I don’t have to setup a page? In this case how can I link the archive in the menu?

Hello,

That page is generated automatically. Just add a custom link in menu with your site followed by year, month.

Could be yoursite.com/2013
or yoursite.com/2013/11 – post from this month.
