Hi,
On the post page the whatsapp sharing button is appearing on mobile but its not appearing on the desktop screen. My client wants it on the desktop screen as well.
Can you please guide how to enable it on desktop.
Thanks
Thanks Catalin,
I pasted this code in custom css. Now the whatsapp icon is appearing but in the next line. Please guide how to align this icon along with other social sharing icons.
Also clicking on it opens a blank window. How to make it operational?
Regards
Thanks. Now its aligned correctly.
But on desktop clicking on the whatsapp icon opens up a blank screen. It does not show any option to share on whatsapp from the desktop.
Can you please help resolve this?
Regards
That is how Whatsapp works – it’s a ‘mobile only’ product; and the end user must have the ‘app’ installed on their mobile device. Whatsapp is for ‘app’ not for desktop, which is why you never see the icon on desktop versions of websites; only on mobile versions.
So, unless somebody actually has the ‘app’ installed, clicking the button does nothing.
You may want to read up more about Whatsapp to learn what it actually is/does.
I don’t work here, just long time webdev dinosaur. Good luck!
