Hello,

When i embed instagram pictures either via code or the URL link it messes up my website.

Example i add the URL http://instagram.com/p/yiWvACydvT into my post (as i use Jetpack) and my background image on my website disappears.

Any help?
Thanks.

Hi,

Please also try this without any plugins active and also make sure that you use the latest theme version (4.6.1) and that you empty cache an purge files then test again.
I have also tested this using the url of you instagram image inside the posts content and haven’t had any issues, it’s rendered fine: http://screencast.com/t/pH4j3c5NB
If you still don’t get this working please also test this by switching to a WordPress default theme and if this still happens then you might have a WordPress issue.
Please let me know!

Thanks

Hi,

Please check this without any plugins active, leave only Visual composer active see if it works. Also you can check this with a WordPress default theme and let us know.
If this works with a default theme please provide an example of embed so we can take a look.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I have the same issue as andreaspom above…

When I paste the Instagram URL into the WordPress editor, the image appears as it should in the published post.

Instagram embed in WP editor

But when I publish the post, all I see are the Instagram logo with caption below.

Instagram embed after publishing

I’ve deactivated all my plugins (except VC) and found the same issue to occur.

Screenshots are attached.

Can you help?

Hi,

I also checked this and worked fine on my side, please paste embed code in the html text editor(and make sure that you copy the right code) – http://screencast.com/t/VEQd5BHSPhttp://screencast.com/t/u55erPov9

Thanks!

Hi Alin,

I believe that I’ve used the correct code. As I said… the Instagram embed shows up fine in my WP editor.

However, before I can attempt this, I need another issue resolved. I’ve sent in a request to you guys via email… with the URL and Themeforest license as requested.

It’s a “foreach()” error that I’m seeing in the admin menus of the WP dashboard. I cannot publish new posts or pages. And I can’t update existing ones.

Could you please check it out?

Thanks, Yuri.

Hi,

Emil replied you via email!
Regarding Instagram embeds please test this without any plugins active and also make sure that you empty all caches, purge fields and disable cloudflare’s script rocket loader then test again.

Thanks

Hi,

I just replied to your email, so I await help on that issue.

Regarding this issue, I’ve already tested the embed with all plugins deactivated. Will disable Cloudflare’s rocket loader to see if that helps.

Thanks.

Hi Alin,

I still have this problem.

Here’s a screenshot of the HTML text editor with no plugins activated (except VC) and the embed code shown. When I update the post and refresh the page, I still have the same blank result.

Link to screenshot.

Hi,

Please test this also with a default theme and see if it works.
Also when you check this with our theme please make sure that you disable cloudFlare, rocket loader and disable all css/js minification.

Thanks!

Ahhh! It looks like Rocket Loader was the culprit.

Now my next question is… how important is Rocket Loader? Can I keep it disabled and enjoy “whatever benefits” it provided?

To be honest, I do not know how it contributed to the load time of my site…

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks again Alin.

Hi,

The Rocket Loader may need may need manual configuration(I suppose that you use auto) because it could cause some conflicts(error) – https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168056-What-does-Rocket-Loader-do- I cannot tell you how important is for your site as we did not tested it, but if you cannot manage to set it, I suggest to not use it.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Turns out rocket launcher was causing my problem too! Thank you very much for the support and fixing the issue! We can now mark this topic as solved i think!
