Where is layout saved (header/footer, etc) – lost all after transfer site

Hello,

I had a staging where the site was good in regards of layout. However I did change the header/footer etc, some colors, logo, the way a post looks basically.

However after transferring only specific tables like wp post, wp postmeta, wp users, usermeta, terms, termrelationship and taxonomy, everything of layout is gone…

How does this come? How can I prevent this? I need to transfer it this way.

Best regards

Hello !

Newspaper theme does not offer migration options. You will have to use a plugin or an external source for this.

Thank you !

That is not my question!

Where is your layout saved??? If you modify a newspaper template file where is this saved in the database?

It seems my tagdiv builder templates have been gone because of the transfer….

“The current page/post uses a template that is not editable.”

If I go look at my cloud templates they disappeared.

Thanks for looking into this.

The only thing I did was to update the wp post, wp post meta tables etc

It is also weird because if I look in the backend in the themepanel I see the logo and such. However on the frontend, there is no logo. It is just the name of the site. So it also doesn’t show the settings of the themepanel on the front end it seems.

Hello !

The files are saved here: https://prnt.sc/snz163

For the header logo you will have to follow our tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXQQygkCCJo

Thank you !

Hello,

When I checked the backup there were cloud templates, when I uploaded those tables there were 0 templates anymore in the cloud.
So where are these cloud templates saved? Which table?

Hello !

Are you sure that your backup has restored your database too ? Theme panel files are saved in Td_011. Cloud templates files are saved here: https://www.screencast.com/t/V4TFFIssnZ

Please note that if you do changes to the database that is not covered by the support team. Also as mentioned above this seems to be a migration issue, not Newspaper Theme Related.

Thank you !

It seems we are miscommunicating.
Ofcourse backup sets everything back. That is what I did.

HOWEVER I need to transfer from live to staging and there lies the problem with your theme….I need to overwrite the wp posts table with the content on live. As a result on staging your cloud library templates are overwritten because they are saved in the wp post table.
Everyone migrating from an old version or other theme and doing it with a staging where they transfer the wp post table will overwrite the cloudlibrary templates that were on staging already made (for example from Demo).

If I update wp posts table, cloud library templates are gone. And that is your problem.

Hello !

Please note that migration of a website is not Newspaper Theme related and is not covered by the support team.
Some of our users used WP Duplicator Plugin. You can try this and see how it will work.

If this is not a solution for your than you can contact our custom work team here: https://tagdiv.com/web-development-services/

Thank you for your understanding !

It is newspaper related, the only problem is with newspaper theme…the cloud library! You should foresee an option to transfer this over.
It is a wrong setup to put this in wp post table you should put it in a separate table.

Hello !

I have passed your suggestion to our developers but unfortunately I cannot say for sure when or if this will be implemented.

At the moment you can copy / paste your templates code as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/VxLdAHomFoY ; https://www.screencast.com/t/u3OwXDwFxF

Thank you !

Anyway it is also a bug, because I had to delete the demo and to import it again to see the templates and then replace them with my code
