I would like to customize some codes in my homepage’s html. Where usually will the file directory of this index.html in FTP?

No such thing with wordpress. See the wordpress.org codex docs on normal wordpress .php file structure. The home page is either built from pieces on top of index.php or page.php in theme folder.
