I have been facing this issue since couple of weeks. Whenever I try to edit any of already published posts and click on UPDATE post button. It takes really long time and then it will give me oops error 404.
But if I go back to the original post after 404 error – I could see that the post is updated with latest edited information. Any idea?
This issue is not there when I update the draft posts. Similar issue with comments. If I try to reply comments from wp-admin. It takes ages but never shows as completed.

Thank you but this is not exactly my issue.
I’m getting 404 error even if I upgrade the WP version 🙁
Even Comments tab in WP-Admin is also behaving in similar ways

To be safe, you should make a full backup to your database and then switch the theme to a default one, remove the old version from your side and install a new one which you have downloaded from Theme Forest via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard. Also, only the required plugins should have to be installed if you want to bring best results with the theme to rule out conflicting plugins.
