Can I get some help. I added the ads per the instructions and they are not working. It’s just black box’s

this coul;d be an issue between you and adsense. if you are using adsense look to see if you are a HOSTED member of Adsense or a FULL MEMBER. Hosted member means you joined the adsense program via say YouTube, and you are an adsense member for youtube ONLY hence a hosted member of adsense hosted by Google.
You will need to convert to a full member. To do this, google has to see and approve your web site. This is boring, but there are posts on this and it is best to read and follow instructions.

Please notice that our theme has implemented the Google AdSense system and only render the ads which you have added in the Ad Spot. Our theme does not influence the structure of it. So, please keep in mind that the Ad has not a live effect and you have to wait a while until you bring your ADs on your front end.
