widget showcasing other wp site not working in newspaper theme

Hi. This widget: ‘Displays a list of recent posts from another WordPress.com or Jetpack-enabled blog’ is not working in newspaper theme. It works on other themes fine, just not in the newspaper theme. If there is a but, will it be fixed. I use this widget to link all my sites up together.

Please provide more details to what widget is that. Is it a plugin? is it a setting from jetpack? we are not familiar with this widget. Please provide more details
