Widget sidebar – Block 14 – categories issue

Hi

Just noticed that when you create a widget sidebar and you use Block 14 then only 7 main categories are shown, no subcategories.

Hello @edragon!

The best option is to use the TagDiv Composer, which is easier and more customizable to create a block in your sidebar. You can use flex blocks instead.

Hi

Yes, I do agree that it’s much easier to use tagdiv composer, but you can’t do it with category pages, which are created automatically and you can’t change/replace these pages but you can add a sidebar, widget sidebar to them through Newspaper Theme Panel. So it’s easier to create a few sidebars for category pages and added these sidebars to proper categories.

Ah ok. Try to add the subcategory’s ID you like to display in the field called “Multiple taxonomies filter”.
