Widgets.php not found

Hi team,

Its been a while that I am using newspaper theme and loving it. Its amazing.

However, today I ran into a problem. I am using custom menu wizard plugin to make menus in sidebar.

When I created a new sidebar from within the page and then tried to access widgets.php page to populate the custom sidebar it threw 404 error. I am using custom menu wizard plugin and this theme for many months now and it only happened today. Interestingly enough is that I made couple of new sidebars before this error and everything was working smoothly.

When I disable the custom menu wizard plugin I can access widgets.php page as normal. Though it is a possibility that its something with the plugin but I am writing to you guys also because it happened only after I made a new sidebar.

Currently I have the plugin active but widget is not showing up on pages. For example have a look at this link: http://pakaccountants.com/courses/financialaccounting/ the widget is supposed to show up in the middle of two ads on the right.

Looking forward to the response to get it sorted.

Regards,
– Hasaan

Hello hasaanfazal,

Unfortunately, this kind of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the behaviour of the theme with this kind of plugin, sorry! As you can see in our documentation, we have a list of tested plugins which the theme works as properly. I know that in this domain are a lot of plugins but please keep in mind that these could damage the theme. Each plugin interferes with the theme and if the theme is not been optimised for this kind of plugin could appear a lot of unknown issues in this regard. In this case, I suspect your problem come from this kind of plugin which interact with the theme and seems to not work as properly. Please keep in mind that we cannot provide support for untested plugins and nor cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry! I suggest you contact the author of the plugin because he should be able to provide a more accurate clue and also he can guide you in the right direction in this regard.
If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you. Usually, we recommend the developers from studio.envato.com.

Thank you for your understanding!
