WordPress 4.5 broke Visual Composer

We just updated to 4.5 this morning, and it looks to have broken Visual Composer.

We are hosted on WPEngine.com.

Visual Composer just shows blank.

However, when you go back to classic mode, you can see the post to edit.

We just did a restore back to before 4.5, and now it is working. So the error is definitely with the WordPress Update.

I have the same issue, but unfortunately I can not roll back to wordpress 4.4.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fixe Visual Composer

Ok. I just update Visual composer to 4.11. I download my theme ( Newspaper 6 ) again and in the includes/plugins folder was js_composer version 4.11.

Fixed my problem.

I have NewsmagVersion: 2.3.5 and it only has VC Version 4.9?

Having same problem, all of my JS is broken too (NewsMag User).

You can get latest version from your ThemeForest account by downloading “all files”

But I did that this morning and had 4.9.

What is the latest version? I have had not update alerts or anything.

I have Newsmag Version: 2.3.5

Our website also so and many were errors not only Visual Composer, image and image slide error also

UPDATE:
Looks like current download of VC with Newsmag is only version 4.9 and *not* 4.11 as comes with latest version of Newspaper (!). (DOH!)

It’s possible 4.11x works, and 4.9 does not. Possible neither works.

Roll back to your back up for the time being.

Updating things is a real pain.

It does not alert me like it should.

Where is the list of the current plugins for the Theme so I can check they updated properly or not?

Right now I download. Unzip. Then go into the plugins. Unzip again. Go and try to find the version info blah blah.

Where is a listing that I can trust is updated on time every time?

All my included plugins are way out of date.

I have to go in and check each one manually with what is in the plugins folder.

Where is a list of the the current plugin versions that go with the current theme version?

It works. You have to install the latest version of Newsmag and VC 4.11.

You may need to manually update VC after you update NewsMag.

How to get it (VC 4.11) for newmag V2.3.6

@GideonLupine at each theme’s update we recommend to also be updated the plugins from theme’s path, especially Visual Composer plugin which is required. Following this step you make sure that every time you have the theme and the plugins updated.
