WordPress blue border, cannot edit block

This must be something really obvious but I can find nothing in the NP forum or in a WordPress Google search.

Sometimes I get a blue border around a block as paragraph which means text cannot be edited. How can I disable this feature? Why does it exist anyway?

Thanks
MG

Hello Vlad – I mean this:

The only way I seem to be able to remove it is to change to code editor and then change back to visual – which is laborious. Shouldn’t there be a simple to return to editing the text?

Thanks
Mark

Hello !

That is from gutenberg not from Newspaper Theme. You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Also you can try and remove and re-install the tagDiv Composer plugin.

Let us know the results.

Thank you !

Ok, thanks. Gutenberg has quite a few flaws, so not surprised to hear. I’ll check these things.
