I’ve just asked my hosting company WP Engine to setup GeoIP on my site and it seems to be working ok except for the excerpts, where the shortcode seems to be being ignored and content is just displayed in all regions with all filters

We didn’t made any tests with GeoIP and we can’t say for sure what could affect the excerpt functionality. The theme generate the excerpts using a custom function located in td_module.php: http://screencast.com/t/P0anYtGbWB You can try to customize it in order to display excerpts depending by ip.
This is a complex task which require many customizations and tests in order to be achieved.
We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you still need guidance on this or you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
