WP Recent Comments widget broken with Newspaper 7.8 and WordPress 4.8.1

I had the WP Recent Comments widget displaying properly on my site with Newspaper 7.8. After I updated WordPress to 4.8.1, it broke. It doesn’t show the block title, just the commenter name and the post. Formatting even of those elements is messed up, too. Any solutions? Thanks.

Hi,

If that is a plugin you mention, then maybe it is not yet updated to be compatible with the latest version of WordPress. The default Recent comments widget is working
