WP Retina 2x: Do I Need This Plugin Anymore?

Hi team,
First off, love the work you do here in the forum.

I updated a couple plugins last night, one of which was WP Retina 2x. I had previously been using this without any issues, but this morning I woke up to almost zero traffic to my site. I immediately went to the plugins and turned them on/off and was able to zone in on WP Retina 2x. Before I figured that out, I turned off my caching plugin (WP Rocket) and that fixed it, but the real culprit appears to be WP Retina 2x.

When I woke up, there was another update for WP Retina 2x available so maybe this was a fix for the previous update. Not sure.

Anyway, I’m wondering if I even need to have WP Retina 2x anymore with the current version of Newspaper? I know as you guys improve the theme, some of these plugin features may be rendered obsolete.

Would welcome any input or insights you may have.
